1. This is the "Be nice" rule. This is one you should have learned in kindergarten, but sometimes, people need a refresher course. Respect the feelings of others. No insulting, hate messaging, or harassing. If you don't like someone, deal with it in a mature manner. Discuss your feelings over PM if you're into that sort of thing, or just ignore them entirely. This makes it so that this site is enjoyable for all!
2. Try to be as literate as possible. That means absolutely no chat-speak, spamming, swearing, god-modeling, supernatural things, or powerplaying. This is a literate roleplay forum and any posts like that will be deleted. There are a few exceptions to the powerplaying rule. If you are a leader, you may powerplay the cats for a ceremony. If your cat is unconscious or a kit, they may be picked up or moved. No other exceptions. This is a basic rule, don't make it any worse than it has to be. Also, in out of character, "OCC" MUST be placed infront of what you have to say if you're in character so that others will understand who's speaking. If you're in "OCC" terms such as "lol", "Omg" and such are accepted.
3. No personal information will be given out on this site. That includes address, phone number, or age. If you want anyone to know those things, tell them over E-mail. As to the less personal information, such as e-mail address, birthday, and real name, it is your choice to tell people or not. Don't pester anyone to tell you, it is entirely up to them.
4. Keep it mostly PG. When it comes to battles, no more gore and blood then was in the books. Descriptiveness is usually great, but not with this. Also, same goes with the mating. "They mated" is as far as it goes so that all of the members can feel comfortable. Any other level of detail will need to be done over PM or other such resources.
5. Don't steal other people's work. If you need to have something, ask the owners if it is okay if you use it. If it's not, drop it. No pestering, harassing, or disrespecting the staff. If they do let you use it, always give credit. They worked hard on it, not you, therefore they deserve the credit, not you.
6. Don't do anything too fancy with the text in your roleplays. You can change your color, but not to something blinding and make sure your size is not HUGE or really small. Also, please note that italicizing is used mainly for thoughts or dreams. Please do not overuse it.
7. Names should be original. No using names used in books. Graypaw is fine only if the warrior name is Graytail or something like that. No Graystripe or Graypool. Never take someone else's name. Star, paw and kit are endings of leader names, apprentice names and kit names, respectively. They are not beginnings of names or the ending of warrior names. No cats in the same clan can have the same beginning name unless it's approuved by an admin or leader, keeping track of names is difficult and having them diffrent makes our job a little bit easier.
8. Bios must use the layout given in this rule. If you don't use this layout, you will be asked to change it. Don't change it and it will be deleted. The subject of the thread is the name of the cat the bio is for. Also, don't forget that bios have to be accepted by your leader before you can start roleplaying. You are responsible for editing the bio when something in your cat's info changes. You also need to post on the List of Characters board every time your cat changes rank.

9. You may join any clans with six characters altogether unless you can prouve you're active with more than that. If they give you permission go for it! This is to ensure that you and your characters are active.
10. If a medicine cat or deputy position is open, you may apply for it by pm-ing the leader of the clan you wish to apply for as well as send a copy to myself, Rippledstream(account user admin) or Hana (account user Hana). Please do not beg, whine, or plead. You will get it, or you will not. This is final.
11. Make threads where they are supposed to be. That means keeping out of character posts in the roleplay boards to a minimum. There's not an entire OOC category for nothing.
12. We ask that you try to make your posts at least a paragraph long. This would mean at least five sentances. It gives the people with whom you roleplay more to work with.
Thank you for reading the rules. Remember them, follow them, check back here often to look for updates and have a great time roleplaying!
