A gray tomcat with black leopard spots stood next to a tree, every sense pricked for the slightest movement, sound, or scent. He quickly found the scent of sparrow and he quickly bent down into his hunter's crouch. It came so easily to him, it was like breathing or blinking. He didn't understand it completely. He left his paws practically hover over the ground as he crept slowly to the black feathered bird.
He pounced and quickly killed it with a bite to the throat. He was rolling in somersaults until he hit another tree. He guess he pounced a little too hard. He was on his back and he twirled to get back up on all fours. He had to stay on constant alert incase someone or something attacked.
He put the sparrow down and dug a hole to bury it. He put it in the hole and covered it up to get it later. He had three catches scattered on the territory, but he knew exactly where they were. He slowly crept through the bushes.

The different, sleek black she-cat crept through the shadows of the bushes, listening carefully for paw steps of cats or prey. She had already caught a few pieces of prey, but not enough for her taste. Sliding around a bend in the shadows of a tree, the she-cat listened to the recent kill. She noticed the spray of prey's blood on the ground before her paws.
Eclipseclaw, raising her head, scented the air with her mouth. She could taste the scent of a tom, one from her own clan. The black cat's only revealing from her camoflauge was her bright green eyes and the red cresent placed in the center of her forehead.
Using her special abilities, the she-cat listened to the minds of those around her. She heard gibberish from prey, and then one cat. Eclipseclaw headed in his direction.

Phantomwillow felt his pelt bristle. He felt like someone was watching him. By StarClan, you're paranoid! he told himself. The gray tom walked on. Finally, he came to a stop. He turned around but saw nothing there. Just keep moving... he thought. His yellow eyes narrowed but he kept walking. He smelled squirrel and something else. He shook his head. His nose was playing tricks. He would have seen something.
Phantomwillow bent down into a hunter's crouch and slowly made his way to the squirrel digging at a tree root for acorns. He was like a storm cloud, covering everything in his path with a shadow. He pounced on the squirrel and broke it's neck with a slash of his claw. He held it in his mouth. This was the exact spot. Moons ago, he saved an apprentice from drowning in the river. He put the prey down, buried it and walked to the river. Okay, something was behind him. He turned around to scan the forest line, yellow topaz eyes narrowed again.

Eclipseclaw continuously followed, wondering who could possiblt be out hunting right now. She listened to his mind, and found that he knew she was there. Well, sort of anyways. So, Eclipseclaw walked along until she reached the clearing just before the bushes.
She easily stalked and took the life of a vole, as it tried to scamper into its hole. She dug a hole and covered up the vole. Sighing almost silently, Eclipseclaw continued to the bushes, accidently making them rustle just before the river.

Phantomwillow's pelt bristled again and his yellow eyes landed on the rustling bushes. The wind blew towards his face, giving him the familiar scent. He thought it before he said it. "Eclipseclaw, do you have a reason for stalking me?" he asked, licking a claw. He was calm, now. He didn't like being vulnerable.

Eclipseclaw moved through the bushes with ease, eyes focusing on Phantomwillow. She shook her head and replied, "I wasn't stalking you. Just scented someone and thought you might want some company while hunting." She paced over to him and sat down, neatly wrapping her tail around her paws.

Phantomwillow glanced at her. "That's very... nice." he murmured. He instantly had a burst of happiness for no absoloute reason. He could do this where as no ThunderClan cat couldn't. "Want to see something cool?" he asked. He turned around and looked into the river. He saw a little movement and he slashed his paw into the water. There was a splash and a shining silver fish flew into the air. He caught it in his mouth, the fish wiggling but died quickly from lack of water. He didn't know how he did it, but he thought it was cool.

"Wow! That's amazing!" Eclipseclaw exclaimed, staring at the fish. She gently poked it with one paw and smiled at him. "I haven't tried fish before. I wonder what it tastes like." She sighed and shrugged, glancing up at Phantomwillow. Thinking of an idea, she asked, "Will you teach me?"

Phantomwillow smiled at Eclipseclaw. "Sure. You just have to concentrate. If you don't, the fish will be spooked and swim away. You also have to be careful of your shadow. That'll spook them too. Fish are like mice but their purpose is practically fleeing." He sounded like someone he knew, but he couldn't find it out.
Phantomwillow turned to the river again. "Fish is good, they really are; jucier than mice or rabbit." He even remembered the taste. It was delicious. "Fish are quick as a snake's strike; you have to be quicker. If you see a small little black dot in the water, I guarentee you it'll be a fish. It's trickier than hunting prey on land but it's pretty solid when you practice."
Phantomwillow turned around to look at Elipsepaw. The sun seemed to shine off of her, making her pelt shine and the water cast a gleam of light on her. His jaw clenched, and an ear flicked. "Get it so far?" he purred. He sat down, his gray tail folding infront of his paws. He was a pretty big cat, enough to make his shadow look like a monster when the sun was falling.

Eclipseclaw nodded, looking down into the water. She was careful not to let her shadow cross the water. Seeing a black dot move towards her, Eclipseclaw shot her paw into the water. The fish popped out, but Eclipseclaw was too slow to catch it.
"Darnit!" she hissed, watching it splash back into the water. She sighed, hearing Phantomwillow's thought about how the light reflected off of her. She smiled and looked at him, seeing how tense his jaw was. "Something wrong?" she asked, flicking his jaw with her tail.

Phantomwillow looked back up at her and let his jaw relax. "No, sorry.. Just... Thinking," he murmured. He sat next to her, leaning so his shadow casted on land. "You can splash your paw out, but you have to make sure you can be fast enough with your mouth." He grinded his teeth somewhat.
A black dot moved towards him and he splashed out with a paw. He then leaned forward somewhat and caught it in his mouth. "Like that," he said, his voice muffled too much to be audible. He put the fish on the ground. "Like that," he repeated. The taste of fish was in his mouth.
"Don't worry about falling in; you won't drown. You have a life guard here." Phantomwillow smiled, teeth shining.
